Welcome to my website

         God has a plan for every individual life—not just a generic plan for the whole world, but a specific and very special plan for every one of His children. Don’t get lost in being a generic Christian and consumed with mundane life in this world that drowns out the wonders and joy of knowing Christ as your Best Friend.

        Get to know Christ Jesus personally—intimately. Spend time with Him in His Word. Open the Bible daily with a readiness to hear and respond to what He tells you. Have a journal and pencil handy so you can write down what He tells you. Read with the anticipation that God is going to speak directly to you—He will!

        The Bible is your Manufacturer’s Hand-Book—get to know it. Become very familiar with it because we are servants of the Most High God, and that, my friend, is a high and lofty calling. Set aside the same time each day and don’t allow anything to infringe upon or interfere with that time. Make God your most important priority—because He is!

        Pray always. But make time to daily sit or kneel at the feet of Jesus. Keep a prayer journal—watch God answer prayer, and don’t forget to thank and praise Him for the answers . . . it will build your faith. It takes a commitment to regularly spend time with the Lord. But the temporal benefits are incredible and the eternal benefits are limitless!

        Be sure to set aside other special times to spend with Him—just Him and you. Go on a date with God. Take a good book to a nice restaurant and spend time alone with Him.  Go to the seashore and walk on the beach—just you and Christ Jesus. You will reap incredible benefits from these dates with our Lord.

        Learn to interact with God as though He is your best friend—He is! Best friends love to spend time with each other. They converse without restraints. There are never awkward silences, just loving, intimate fellowship, laughter and enjoyment.

        There is an old gospel song that Mahalia Jackson used to sing, a snippet of which says:
                My God and I walk through the fields together,
                   We laugh and sing as good friends do,
                We clap our hands,
                    And our voices ring with laughter. . . .
                My God and I walk through the meadow too.

        Let’s face it. We need God. He is Sovereign, and He is the Blessed Ruler and Controller of all things. We need Him. We need fellowship with Him. We need His strength. We need purpose. We need His direction for each day. We need His Word and prayer. We need all that He is, and He has graciously offered all that we need. But we must spend time in His marvelous Presence to prepare ourselves to receive it.

        For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you  may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.   —  Ephesians 3:14-19
